CCM Solution Architect

13+ years in enterprise CCM, from legacy Exstream to cloud-native. Now building AI into how it is delivered.

OpenText Exstream, cloud-native platform engineering, AI-augmented delivery

I design enterprise customer communication systems for telecom and insurance clients. I lead architecture across legacy and cloud-native Exstream, and I build the AI tooling that helps teams design and troubleshoot it faster.

Background

Architecture & platform engineering

I work where enterprise document systems meet platform engineering. Day to day that means setting design standards and reviewing templates, assessing and modernizing legacy Exstream estates, and standing up secure cloud-native environments that project teams can repeat.

More recently I have developed AI tooling patterns for the same domain: semantic vector search over complex CCM design repositories and an LLM-assisted advisory prototype to accelerate troubleshooting and design reuse.

Selected work

Proven in production

Cloud-native Exstream reference environments on AWS

CE 25.1 and CE 25.4 running on Kubernetes, with reusable reference blueprints for enterprise rollouts.

CE 25.1CE 25.4KubernetesK3sHelmAWS EC2

Approach

Built and validated Exstream Cloud Editions on AWS EC2, containerized with Helm charts. Selected K3s over Minikube for resource efficiency within compute-constrained instances. Provisioned multi-cloud sandbox environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP for end-to-end platform validation.

Result

Standardized deployment blueprints were adopted for platform rollouts, serving as the technical reference for cloud-native CE validation.

Dynamic credentials with HashiCorp Vault

Automated credential rotation with short-lived leases for application and database connections.

HashiCorp VaultAmazon RDSLinuxCE 25.4

Approach

Integrated HashiCorp Vault with Exstream CE on Linux. Configured runtime secret injection for application pods and relational database backends, ensuring credentials rotate automatically with short TTLs and zero persistent secrets in configuration files.

Result

Validated proof of concept with enterprise security compliance, adopted as the standard pattern for secure multi-tier CCM deployments.

Credential-free cloud storage access with IAM roles

Architecture pattern enabling Exstream Cloud Editions to access S3 securely without static keys.

AWS IAMS3EKS Pod IdentityCloud Architecture

Approach

Evaluated and validated cloud-native IAM integration patterns for Exstream storage backends across containerized environments, testing both local IAM role assumption in development clusters and EKS Pod Identity in enterprise Kubernetes environments.

Result

Established a repeatable, credential-free storage access architecture eliminating long-lived access keys.

AI-augmented CCM engineering and discovery

Semantic search and LLM-assisted advisory architecture patterns for complex CCM asset repositories.

PythonFAISSVector SearchLLMsAnthropic API

Approach

Designed architecture prototypes combining semantic vector search (Sentence-Transformers with FAISS) for asset discovery across template definitions, variables, and business logic. Developed advisory prompting patterns for architecture guidance, troubleshooting, and reusable design-pattern discovery.

Result

Demonstrated significant design-time lookup acceleration and established prompt-engineering practices for enterprise delivery teams.

84 Exstream forms on a compressed schedule

Delivered end to end, including DocuSign-enabled templates, with no reported post-deployment defects.

OpenText ExstreamDocuSignPDF anchor tags

Approach

Designed and delivered the full set of forms, including complex eSignature templates. For signing, I designed PDF anchor and white-text tag frameworks and configured matching DocuSign templates, with field mapping and prefill data.

Result

All 84 forms shipped on a compressed schedule with no reported post-deployment defects.

Experience

Employment history

Architect – Technology

Cognizant
Sep 2021 to present
  • Set CCM design standards, reusable object policies, and code review governance for enterprise telecom and insurance platforms.
  • Led modernization initiatives: architecture reviews, migration assessments, reusable framework definitions, and alignment across cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Built and validated Exstream CE 25.1 and CE 25.4 on AWS with K3s and Helm, running multi-cloud lab sandboxes across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Configured OTDS authentication, SSO, and relational database backends with engine orchestration for batch, interactive, and real-time document output.
  • Architected digital signature workflows utilizing PDF anchor-tag frameworks and DocuSign templates.
  • Authored AI adoption guidelines and prompt-engineering standards for engineering teams.

Assistant Consultant

Tata Consultancy Services
Dec 2012 to Aug 2021
  • Led template design, development and maintenance on Exstream v8.4, v9.0, v9.5 and v16.6 across enterprise client verticals.
  • Migrated templates and assets across version boundaries, from v8.4 and v9.x to v16.6, keeping data contracts and design consistent.
  • Built batch and interactive document generation for PDF, HTML and email output.
  • Root-caused and tuned Communications Server bottlenecks in time-critical batch runs. Automated monitoring, log parsing and environment health checks with shell scripts and SQL.
  • Mentored junior developers, and worked with business analysts, integration architects and QA to turn legacy document definitions into parameterized components.
